Prices of the Bridge House Hotel in Grasmere are seasonally adjusted. The hotel is open every month of the year, so visitors can enjoy the most beautiful corner of England, the Lake District, in all its seasons, colours and moods.

All prices are per person, per night based upon two people sharing a twin or double en-suite room and include government tax at the prevailing rate. After many very successful years offering Christmas and New Year breaks we are now closed during the festive season.

Children

Well-behaved children are welcome at Bridge House Hotel. Children who share a hotel room with 2 paying adults are charged at the following rates:

0 to 2 years - Free
3 to 6 years - 15% of adult price, per child per night.
7 to 13 years - 25% of adult price, per child per night.
14 and over - 50% of adult price, per child per night.

All inclusive of dinner bed & breakfast.

We have a separate children's menu or you may choose from the table d’hôte with the adults. Earlier dinners are also available if required.

General Reservation Information

One night bookings are only accepted at the discretion of hotel management and, when available, are charged from £65.00 per person in a twin or double room.

Hotel reception is open from 08.00 to 22.00 daily on +44 (0)15394 35425.

All accommodation is offered subject to receipt of a non-refundable deposit of £30 per person within 14 days of the booking being made.

Cancellation prior to 56 days of the arrival date will incur the loss of deposit paid. Cancellations within 56 days of due arrival, or during the holiday, will incur a charge of 80% of the full holiday cost, unless we are able to resell the room(s). It is worth letting us know, even if you have to cancel at the last minute, as we always endeavour to keep the Bridge House full! Finally, we recommend holiday insurance cover so that you are financially protected in the event of late cancellation, alteration or early termination of your stay.

Holiday Insurance - When you book your UK holiday, you are entering into a legally binding contract. What would happen if you fell ill, had an accident - if you were made redundant, for example? You could be faced with a large bill. Why not cover yourself with holiday insurance, so that you can relax and look forward to your holiday with total peace of mind

Discounts do not apply in the event of any meals not being taken as our costs are fixed in this regard.

Rooms are normally available from 13.30 on day of arrival. Guests are asked to vacate their room by 10.30 on the day of departure.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the hotel.

Luggage - we are happy to help with carrying guests’ luggage but please use small cases as heavy ones can exceed current health & safety guidelines. We don’t mind more journeys - we just wish to avoid strain injuries! - Thank you.
